Thanks for checking out what's happening this month at Relate! We are so excited you are here. We believe no matter where you've been, where you are or what you are facing, Jesus can RELATE. He cares. So do we! See you Sunday at 9 or 10:45 a.m.
Join us for "A Thrill of Hope" each Sunday in December at Relate at 9 & 10:45 a.m. This is an incredible series that will inspire hope and happiness to you this Christmas. We are so excited to see YOU at Relate.
Take a tag off the Christmas Giving Tree at Relate this Sunday, and YOU can be a part of giving HOPE to people in need in our community this Christmas. Items are due Sunday, Dec. 17. Relate Serve will also be hosting two Christmas parties, and you can help! The parties will be at Christians in Action Children's Home on Dec. 19 and Willow Creek Nursing Home on Dec. 20. Please meet at the church at 5:45 p.m.
We believe that everyone needs a starting point when attending a new church. Starting Point will guide you through a process to discover your purpose and live the life God has designed for you to live. Our process is comprised of four steps that equip you to follow Jesus, connect with other believers through the local church, discover your God-given gifts, and use those gifts to make a difference in someone else's life. Make Starting Point your next step this Sunday! We have a place just for YOU! Starting Point takes place every Sunday during the 10:45 a.m. service in Relate offices.
STUDENTS, we have a place for YOU! Grab your friends and come hang out with Relate Students, starting at 6:30 p.m. for STUDENT NIGHT! We meet the 2nd-4th Wednesdays of each month. The 2nd Wednesday of the month includes worship, a special message, games and PIZZA. Grab a friend and join us at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday.
7th-12th grade students, join us for a fun scavenger hunt throughout the city of Byram (all drivers are approved by Relate) on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 6:30 p.m. Permission slips are REQUIRED. Notaries will be available each Sunday in December, in between the 9 and 10:45 a.m. services at Relate Central. A notary will also be present at Student Night on Dec. 13. Make plans now to attend.
The Magi were on a quest – following a star to find the child king foretold in prophecy. Along their journey, they encountered both the dark and the light, the good and the bad. In the end they met Jesus, the true star of their trip.
Memory Verse: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” - John 1:5 (NIV)
Long, Long Ago – Jesus came to bring light to the darkness of this world. His arrival was so important, that it was talked about by the prophets hundreds of years before his birth. Micah 5:1-5, Bethlehem Prophecy
Our Only Hope – Joseph and Mary were just simple people who loved God. And God chose them for a special mission: to be the parents to Jesus, the Savior of mankind and the light of the world, Jesus. Matthew 1:18-25, The Birth of Jesus
The Dark Side – The Magi followed a star to the new king. On a stop along the way, they discovered King Herod, a dark force who was not happy about Jesus’ birth.
Matthew 2:1-8, Magi Follow the Star
May The Lord Be With You – Finally, the Magi arrived in Bethlehem where they found Jesus and presented him with gifts. We must remember that Jesus is God’s gift to us. Matthew 2:9-12, Magi Meet Jesus
Every Saturday morning from 9-10 AM we pray for our Sunday morning services. Join us!
